Rushia Nelson

Rushia was a dear neighbor, kind friend and always had words of encouragement. We enjoyed many walks with our dogs together and she was always eager to bring flower bulbs from her garden and share with many neighbors. The loss of such a dear soul reminds us how fragile this life is but as Rushia knew, there´s eternal life for those that believe and we will meet up again. I imagine she was overwhelmed when she got there and all her dogs were licking her in the face. I can see her smiling face...

I had the honor and privilege of meeting and serving with Rushia at the River City Community Church Food Pantry. Rushia always had a contagious smile on her face and I agree with all who will say so; her big smile brightened and warmed the room. Who made the muffins? "Rushia," someone said. I looked for them every week (smile). They were delicious. Sweet Rushia, you will be missed. Thank you for being so kind to me and always making me feel seen. Glad I got to meet you!! Rest easy...

Rushia was a devoted, energetic, helpful and kind neighbor and friend. I came home one day and she had planted my bare flowerbed with bulbs. "No big deal" she said. "I had them leftover from a project." Her laughter and bright smile lit up the room. She loved history and traveling with her gave me a new appreciation for our nations´ history. I will always love you Rushia. Until we meet again in Heaven, rest in peace my sweet friend!
