You were an awesome person and friend to me u helped me when u were a reporter for channel 9 In. 1988-1989 my name is jose god bless you I will always remember n love u as a great person u were to me thank u.u saved my life I had throat cancer n now im 58 yo.i had a 2nd chance to life becuz of u my friend. I will always have u in my heart my friend n remember all that u said to me.becuz of u I am a better .Man thank you .my friend n God bless you.

Mr. Ewing lived across the street from me in Glencoe when I was a child. I remember him as being friendly. I followed his career as a reporter and he was famous for being a humane force in negotiations with many accused of crime.
