Wayne was a friend to cherish and will be missed. I met him at Indiana University as an Acacia Fraternity brother. We enjoyed years and years of discussions about sports, mostly about IU, and attended and critiqued games at venues such as the Fort Wayne Colosseum, the Rose Bowl, and major league baseball parks. Thanks Lyndy for putting up with us. He even wooed me from being an Indianapolis Times sports writer to join him at Ford Motor Company where I stayed for more than 30 years. ...
