Not sure what to say?

I was unable to attend the funeral and pay my respects. However, I would like to let you know that Abe was always in my heart. Fond memories of time spent with Perce and Abe on the front porch with Mom and Dad (Frank & Ivy Yeager). Abe always "played along" with Lassie and I. (Lassie was my pretend dog since I couldn't have a real one.) Peace and BlessingS to the family.

Saturday, June 7th, I along with my daughter, sister and brother-in-law attended The funeral of Russel Robert "Abe" Smith. Pop (Poppy) was my father-in-law, and I was married to his late son John. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-
in-law, and a dedicated family man. After Granny (my mother-in-law) passed away and up until john also passed away, Pop spent quite a bit of time with John, myself and my family. He enjoyed attending various school and sports events for my...

I have many good memories of Abe, having grown up on the same street in Rutherford where he and Vas raised their sons. My mother and Abe's wife grew up together in Steelton and remained good friends throughout the years. Russell and John were playmates with my brothers and me, and John and I went through elementary and high school together. Blessings to Abe's family as you bid farewell to your grandfather, uncle and brother. May God's peace see you through this difficult time.

I have such fond childhood memories of hanging out at Poppy Abe and Granny Mert's house in Rutherford with Amie. He was such a loving and fun man! Prayers to all of you and I will see you on Saturday to give you all hugs.

Abe I did not know you very well but my dad talked about you all the time when you all were growing up he always talked about the man you were and to me that is good enough you will be missed by many, and just maybe you and dad will bump into each other in the Rutherford Heights in the mighty sky!

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.
