Not sure what to say?

I just found out of Rus's passing in the Ripon College Magazine. I was a fraternity brother of Rus at Ripon just one year ahead of him in graduation. Nancy....I am sorry for your loss and remember that time approx 40 years ago that we visited your home. I also was an ROTC graduate from Ripon and also an Army Ranger. He had a great military career. Again my sincerely condolences to the Family. Don Lisko

Russ was my company commander at St John,s in 1958. I always greatly admired him I am deeply saddened at his passing. Rest In Peace Russ my friend.

Russell, I have admired you as a person ever since we were together at SJMA! I am your friend from Mexico, Victor E Trevino SJMA 58. Rest in peace my friend...

i got to know russ when both of us were in our mid to late 50s. i learned early on that if you thought you'd like to exchange viewpoints on american politics or the world at large you better bring the artillery. he defended his opinions with a sharp mind and an even sharper wit. no prisoners. you'd expect that from a retired combat ranger and he never disappointed. i'm very happy to say that we were friends for nearly 3 decades and i had the great joy to take part in his love of chinese food...

Russ was a good guy and great fun to trade barbs with at Kettle Moraine Curling Club, Pewaukee Yacht Club, Nagawicka Lake Yacht Club, and any Lake Country get together. God Bless to Russ, Nancy, and family.

Dear Nancy and family,
On behalf of the 135th Corps of Cadets, president, faculty and staff at St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, please accept our most sincerest condolences on the loss of your husband, our cherished old boy, Russ. Our prayers are with you.

Nancy & Family, Please accept our heartfelt sympathies. I find it so hurtful that we have known each other for so many years and are discovering so much at this time of loss. Had no idea that Russ was in the Band of Brothers. We were in Vietnam at the some time and because our home coming was so political we never were able to connect because we just didn't talk about it. It pains me to know that we never had the chance. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Maggie and Mike...

Russ is such a central part of the PYC and Pewaukee community, this loss will be widely felt. My thoughts and sympathy to your family.
