Not sure what to say?

HillsideEvening

We live just a road away and I used to walk my dogs past Russ Arnett's gorgeous yard in the summertime and admire what an amazing job he did on it. When he was out in his yard, he'd never hesitate to say hello and was always appreciative of the compliments on his talent and skills of keeping his hilly yard so beautiful. I probably told him 10 times that he could come & work on my yard when he was done done and we always got a good laugh out of that. What a kind and friendly person. ...

Sorry for your loss of Russell. Know that "God gives power to the tired one, and full might to those lacking strength" so trust in him completely during this time of loss (Isaiah 40:29).

Thinking of you and your family at this time.

For the entire Arnett Family, I am so very sorry to read down here in California today of the loss of your sweet father and Betty dear, my heart grieves with you for the loss of your soulmate. I am just so very sorry that dear Russ has left to go on ahead to Heaven. God bless you all. Lucy Groh

Russ was a true gentleman and a delight to know. I'll be gone on the 13th, Betty, but my thoughts are with you. God bless. Jack Roderick

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

One of the best things that happened to me, professionally, was being office-mates with Russ when I was starting out. He was indeed a good man, and a great example for me as a young attorney.

Dear Betty,
Rick sent me a copy of Russ's obituary. It was brilliantly written and so appropriate. For many decades I have enjoyed knowing both of you. Russ's life was well lived and generous. I wish I could be there to be with you and the family. I know what it's like to be alone. But I know you will find support from your family.
Love,
Dick

Betty,
Russ was a wonderful man. It was a privilege to be able to have Russ as a friend and a professional colleague. He represented the best standards of our profession. We will truly miss him. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family.
