We met Russell while working at Buffalo Brothers in Raleigh, NC. He was a General Manager and even better teacher and friend. Our deepest sympathies.

The presence of Russ in the kitchen at Alex's is one that is sadly missed by all of us that have worked with him. His spirit will live on in or memories.

I just got to know Russell the last few months, but that was long enough for me to know he was a great guy. He had that big smile, (which I will never forget) that matched his giant heart. He will be missed by all of his Albion friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in Peace, Russ.

Russell was and always will be the love of my life. He was a great dad to my son, and was a great man to me. He had work ethics like no man I have ever seen; fully dedicated heart and soul. Russell is one, that once you meet him...you know he can never be replaced. Rest in Peace, my love.
My prayers are with his family, and friends.

I only knew and worked with Russell for a little over a year, but when you work 50 plus hours a week with someone in the restaurant industry you get to know them pretty quickly. He taught me a lot in the short time that we knew each other that will certainly help me in my culinary career. I guess you never know how much you will miss someone until they are gone, and I have realized now that I do miss Russell and that I will never forget him.
