The Ferner family is deeply saddened by the passing of Russ Butler. A dear friend of nearly forty years is no longer with us.

I choose to recall the great times we had hunting, fishing and just hanging around the campfire.

Russ had a great life and a wonderful family - what more could one want? Accordingly, we should celebrate his life while mourning his passing.

Our sympathies to the Butler family.

Saddened to hear about Russ's unexpected passing and our deepest sympathies go out to Russ Jr., Pam and all the family.

Russ Butler has become a legend in the Great North Woods. While he wasn't able to attend our annual spring trout camp this year, we were especially looking forward to the fall when we could enjoy his camaraderie during grouse hunting season. Trout and Grouse camps will not be the same without his clever wit, sure-handed fly tying and terrific story telling....
