Russell helped me both personally and professionally going way beyond the call of duty. When IRE met in NOLA he hosted a bunch of us for crawfish . What a feast! Professionally he shared massive amounts of data with me and WRAL-TV. He won the Pulitzer. We won the Peabody and the DuPont- the closest thing to Pulitzer's in TV . I'll miss his energy, passion, determination but mostly his friendship. I'm sorry to hear this. Way, way too young.

You have my heartfelt condolonces for the loss of your son. We were the best of friends growing up in Lacombe and riding horses together. I know he loved you very much and you will miss him but God has him now and he is resting in peace. I hope you gain strength from knowing that he is alright.
