Not sure what to say?

Russ had an amazing spirit. He seemed to never get down other than losing Kathy. He mastered the art of story telling. It would usually start with, "Now listen to this one!" He loved his cars especially Mercedes-Benz too which I was able to help him with for a very long time. I'll miss you Russ!

I didn´t know Russ but he played golf with my late husband, Kerry Viestenz. I was so pleased that he attended Kerry´s Celebration of Life last September. " What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Helen Keller

So sad to hear of Russ´ passing. I have not seen Rusty for years. He and I trained together for the half Ironman Tri at medicine lake by Spokane, WA. This was the Ironman qualifier. We traveled together and stayed together in Spokane. I finished the event before Russ and went to our hotel room to shower and change. I went back and found Russ sitting at a table with one leg up. I asked how he was doing, to which he responded, without moving a muscle or his mouth much, "every part of my body...

Russ and I worked together at MBA and the Hasson Company for many years. His sense of humor never failed to bring a smile to the face of anyone he spent time with. In the early 80´s, we found ourselves on a camping/fishing trip together in Baja and when my luggage was lost by the airlines, Russ shared a shirt and ball cap with me which became my "uniform" for the next 5 days. We had the opportunity to talk on the phone just a month ago and re-live the fishing trip - lots of laughs -and Russ...

Very sad to read this in the paper. My husband and I took the same 5:30am spin class M-W-F for years with Russ. He was the class role model! Such a great guy and we enjoyed many, many wonderful conversations. We ran into Russ earlier this summer at Gubancs. It was so wonderful to see him again. Wishing your family peace. best Kelley Lomax + Jim Smith
