Not sure what to say?

As a high school senior, I saw "A Distant Thunder" for the first time and made the decision as a Christian to rededicate my life to Christ.

Since that time, I have had the opportunity to win many to Christ personally and have also sponsored showings of Mark IV films on many other occasions.

My work in television today and my decision to run for governor of Georgia in 2010 are ongoing results of the decision that I made that January day in 1986 when I saw "A Distant Thunder" for...

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Doughten's passing. His film series was the definitive version of the tribulation period/end times movies. May he rest in peace, and know that his life was well-spent with his ministry. <3 Much love and endless respect from Denver, CO.

I remember seeing A Theif In The Night as a teenager and the Holy Spirit leading me to Christ. Thank you for obeying Gods call.

I just learned of Russell Doughten Jr's death. I just wanted to let you know what a blessing his films from A Thief in the night were, as I committed my life to Christ during the films in the 1980's He lived a great life and left a legacy that will never be forgottten. My deepest condolences and sympathy to friends and family, God bless you...

I never met Brother Doughten, but I was affected by his "Thief in the Night" films.

Those films caused me to study more diligently the end time events prophesied in the Word of God.

May God comfort and give strength to those he has left behind. Look to Christ so that you too may be accepted of Him at the end of your life's journey.

Having just learned of Russell's passing I'm grieved and thrilled. I performed in one of his films learning much and enjoying the experience immensely. A few years ago I stopped to purchase a copy for my mother who insisted she have her own copy. Russell happened to be "home," and I enjoyed a pleasant reminiscence with him. His talent, grace and gentle intensity always intrigued me signaling his spirit filled life and approach to his art and witness. I'm sorry his story ends here; I'm...

He was a wonderful man. He will be sorely missed.

It is my privilege to have known Russ, and an honor to have been in one of his films. My deepest sympathies to his friends and family.

God Bless and Comfort you at this time.

Russ was an amazing man of God who influenced many and opened doors for thousands to hear the gospel. We are happy to have known and loved him.
