Not sure what to say?

Poppy,

It's been a year since I have been able to talk to you, hold your hand, give you a hug, or see your smile. All things that I miss so badly, it hurts. But, your presence is felt all around us - the cornflowers and queen anne's lace are in bloom, there have been some amazing "sky blue pink" skies this summer, and Ann and I have seen so many beautiful butterflies - we know you are still with us. We also have your wonderful poetry to sustain us - but what I wouldn't give to have...

Dad,

Its been a year since you left us; still missing you each and every day. You may be walking a different path but your legacy lives solidly on this earth; and in the living word and spirit of your poetry!

Present at Sarah's (granddaughter) wedding 6/5/10

Thanks to all for the wonderful words about my Dad, I have been truly blessed to have had him as my Dad for 53 years and focus on that at this trying time. Dad loved his family, his work at McCreath, and living life finding beauty all around him. He never complained during his illness, blamed or questioned "why him" but instead felt blessed to have Linda, his family, friends and most importantly God walking with him each and every step through his illness. I will remember his quiet...

I just learned today of Russ passing. I worked with him for many years at McCreath, but remember him not as a co-worker, but as a friend. Rest in peace. Bob Stone (Brownsville, Tx) 8/02/10

Linda & family
Sorry for your loss, I know he will be greatly missed. Each day you will see something to remind you. You will have many good memories. Doris G

To all Russ' children...I am so sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. He was a great friend to my father who spoke fondly of him through the years. I am glad they got to visit in the last few weeks. I well remember visiting you all when we visited my grandparents in Mechanicsburg while growing up. I can still picture your home! May you find peace and comfort in the memory of a life fully lived....Richard McKeown, Bryant, Arkansas

Grandpa, we love you and will miss you terribly. One day we will all be together again on the other side.
Linda, our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this rough and trying time. We love you and want you to know we are always here.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Linda. It was my pleasure to know and care for Russell. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
