Not sure what to say?

Dear Donn, Wendy, and Dean,

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of loss. I remember the many summer visits to Belden Drive and how much Uncle Russ and Aunt Edith made me feel at home. As an adult, it was always interesting when Russ and my Dad (Denton Engstrom) got together - you never knew where the conversation was going to go! He is a gentle spirit and will be missed.

I am one of the 15 cousins. My favorite memories of Russell were those when he came to visit our family farm in Evansville, MN. He and my brother Merlin were lots of fun and gave everyone many laughs. He was a special person. Condlolences to you in the loss of your wonderful father.

Dear Wendy, Donn and Dean:
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. He was one of my two favorite uncles, even if he did torture me in the dentist chair. I still have fillings he did, and all my dentists have commented that they are "things of beauty." I know he will be missed by you and everyone who knew him. I don't think I ever once knew him to be anything but kind and upbeat.

Wendy,

So sorry to hear about your dad.

Because of your dad I was never afraid to go to the dentist as a child. He was a kind and gentle man and will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

My families thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

May your wonderful memories comfort you in your times of grief.

Dear Donn, Wendy and Dean,

We have such fond memories of your father - I always loved talking politics with him. We will see you on Saturday.

Wendy, my dear childhood friend, my sincere condolences at this time of great loss for you, Donn and Dean. Your Dad will always have a special place in my heart. So many fun memories up at your cabin! He taught us to fish for sunnies with a very primitive fishing line and we actaully caught a few small fish! I remember him singing crazy, funny songs as we swam in Cross Lake as kids and going for pontoon rides in the warm, summer sun. And, those stories he used to tell us -- lots of great...

Dear Wendy, Donn & Dean & families,
We continually appreciated Russ as a good neighbor & friend... can't count the number of times we called him, and he always complied. He was such an integral part of the neighborhood--can't imagine Belden Dr. without him!
God's blessings to you all at this time, Phyllis Smith

Dear Wendy, Donn and Dean...Your dad always had a smile and stories to tell. I guess he and I shared a special bond because of the pontoon "incident" up at your cabin when I slipped off the front and gave him (and eveyone else) quite a scare! He would tell me about the crazy days he and my dad would drive around NE as teenagers. He talked about building a 3 wheeled motorcycle after he retired. Whether he did or not, it just shows what a fun person he was. I am sad that I cannot attend the...
