Not sure what to say?

Russ was a dynamic principal; his leadership qualities enabled thousand of students to appreciate the importance of education. Our staffs collaborated to make Gaywood and Thomas Johnson model schools and fun places to teach. So many memories and so many lasting friendships endure as a result. RIP, Mr. E.

My husband and I met Russ and Mimi back in 2005 on a Royal Caribbean cruise while watching a Steelers game on board the ship. We discovered that we lived within 10 minutes of each other. We became fast friends, watched Steeler games together, hung out together and shared a love of Vettes. Russ will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our deepest condolences to dear Mimi.

We miss Russ's bright, cheery words and positive attitude...all the time! Great person! Is dearly missed.

Russell and I grew up together in Hillcrest Heights Maryland and both went to Shepherd College and were TKEs. I have tried to reach out to Russ since I moved back to Maryland. I am very sorry and upset to read that he passed away . Charles max Stubbs Annapolis Md.

Russell was a 1st year principal and he hired me as a 1st year teacher. Teachers, students, and parents loved him. He was a great mentor and we became lasting friends playing tennis, racquetball, and enjoying our families friendships long after I transferred to another school. He also was my wife´s principal for many years. Prayers go out to Mimi,Tiffany and his family.
