Russ and I met when I joined Christ Church Chancl Choir in 1985. Such a fine southern gentleman he was and such an interesting man. He was always a glass half full person, that's for sure! His love for Jesus came shining through him. He was especially kind to my grandson, Danny. I brought Danny to church as young as a few months. As Danny got older I could count on Russ making him feel so welcomed. Danny is now 34 yrs. old and lives with a mental condition. Russ has never stopped asking...

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Russ volunteered at Brookfield Zoo and during my employment there, we became friends. Russ was such a kind and generous man. He took my teenage son, many times, to Chicago Bulls games. And always offered a word of encouragement to me. Russ has finished his race, and is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior! He will be missed.
