Not sure what to say?

I owned the Verizon store in Bedford. Russ would call ask who was working and bring coffee for each person. We then had to spend an hour blocking this person unblocking that person storing numbers in his phone. This continued for years after I sold the business. Of course he kept all are furnaces going. We all loved him and teased him as he teased us.

Dear Ben and Matt, I´m so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was a great guy who rescued Dave and I SO many times over 50 years from plumbing, heating and generator problems. Sharing a cup of coffee and maybe an egg salad sandwich with him was always part of the rescue!!! He did many kind things for many people. He will surely be missed. Love to you both and your families. Mary Danielson

Sorry to hear of Russell´s passing. I was a classmate of his West and on the football team with him. I am sure he will be greatly missed by his friends. I am curious of what engineering unit he was in in Vietnam, as I served in the engineers there as well. Too bad we did not meet up over there!

Russ, our neighbor, will be dearly missed. We shared a bond, he as a veteran and I as a Navy brat. He was always there to help my husband and I with any request or finding a solution, like changing mower blades or with a leek in our furnace during a holiday. I loved his whistling as he mowed his lawn and the gift of chocolates that were left at my door as a thank you for a jar of soup. His kindness and humor will be dearly missed by all who really knew him....he was a "rough diamond kinda...

Russ, aka The Whistler, was my Boynton Street neighbor and friend. He was a character and a genuinely good person. He will be missed but not forgotten. RIP -

Russ was a very unique person that I had the pleasure of knowing for 40+ years. He was full of stories and full of vim and vigor. You never knew exactly what he was going to say and that was the magic of Russ. He was proud of being an eagle scout and serving his country in the Vietnam war. He had the courage to live what he believed and it's with great sadness to hear of his passing. I will miss seeing the flag flying on Boynton Street and I will miss the yellow pipe cap on the top of...

I am saddened to hear this news, I will miss our banter back and fourth. RIP Toni Flynn FW WEBB

Russ was always willing to go the extra mile for his customers and especially his friends. You'll be missed Russ. No more blue van with the smiley faces bombing around town.

I'm gonna miss you Russ! You were ALWAYS there when I had an issue be it plumbing or other. I'll never forget the times we spent talking over a cup of coffee. Rest in peace my friend.
