It was 35 years ago on this July 22 at St. Brendan's church that Father Gallagher officiated at our wedding. May he rest in peace and our sincere condolences to the family.

To the Family of Fr. Gallagher -
I remember him well and fondly. He was my high school chaplain, my religion teacher, my friend and at times a bit of a pain in the butt because he could not be fooled! I remember that when he came to St. Catherine he brought a will to make us proud of our school - proud of ourselves and better women. He celebrated Mass in the downstairs hall- in vestments he got from his sister - a Maryknoll nun - and noone had to be threatened to pay attention because it...

I am not a very intellectual individual. Back in the sixties at St. Brendans it was Fr. Gallagher's challenging sermons and his command of words that inspired me as a young teen to study to the best of my ability. This inspiration led me to study for five years at the Seminary in Warwick and Boston. I did not become a priest of which I do have some regrets but because of Fr.
