Not sure what to say?

To Nelson and Family,

........sorry this took so long, but I just didn't know what to say.........I still don't know what to say. This is a huge loss to everybody that knew him. I could clearly say that Russell was probably one of my best friends in my early years, (you too, Mary!), and I have numerous fond memories. Diana Ross, his cats, he taught me to drive a stick shift in his brand new sports car, dairy queen and playing cards at our kitchen table with my mom until the wee...

I just got a call from a old friend with this news. I am so sorry to hear this. Russell and his sister Mary and i had many good times back in the day. He will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear about Rusty. We hadn't seen him in a while, and did not know he was ailing. Please accept our sincere condolences in this time of need.

I will always remember Russell for his kindness. When I was a little girl I would walk a mile to the Balmville School playground. I was the only one without a bicycle and Russell would either go home and get one for me to ride or let me ride his. As adults we eventually became next-door neighbors and spent many evenings sharing our views and attempting to fix the problems of the world! Thank you for the good times...

Nelson and Family,
There are no words to express what a loss this will be for all of us. Russell was a good and caring person. He would do anything to help you out. He was especially good to my mother when my dad became ill. After being neighbors for so many years on Roosevelt Place, the thing I will miss most is his sense of humor. When he washed and waxed his car (hours -- because we know how perfect it had to be), we would talk and he made me laugh the whole time. His life was too...

Linda,
I just wanted to extend my sympathies and my love to you and your family. We all go back so many years together and Russel and I went to school together as well. I have many wonderful memories of all of you and pray that the memories of good times past help sustain you during this difficult time.
in sympathy and love,
Jann (Burke) Romano and family...
ps..my mom (Ella Burke) sends her love and condolences as well...
