Not sure what to say?

Dear Grandstaffs:
To my own students and actors, I have reiterated so many thoughts which originated with this man. I hope he knew that. Since undergrad roommate Barbara Marineau is now acting at the Guthrie in Mpls.--where I now reside--I just tonight heard upon our 1st phone call this news of his passing. I am sorry I did not know sooner but such is our world. He honored me by attending my father's visitation in 2008 at a Kzoo funeral home. I cried then as I pray for him and you all...

Anne,
I am so sorry to hear about Russel AKA DR G. I loved to get him up to dance with the me at the nursing home, and how he would talk to me at times. Then he did have that stubborn side to him but he knew what he wanted. I would have loved to known him when he was teaching and listend to him teach. He will be missed. I will be praying for you and the family. God Bless you

Dear Anne

I did not realize that your husband was a theatre professor. I see now why you took him To New York and why he loved Farmers Alley. You have taken such good care of him while trying to retain a sense of humor to survive the pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
