Not sure what to say?

Russell was a beacon in my childhood, from John Ward School through high school. His affable manner and kindness, along with his expressions of wry wit and physical humor, remain with me. I am deeply saddened to have learned that he passed away. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Even after 11 years, I think of how valuable your friendship is. I think of you all the time. I miss your dry wit and laughter. I am so glad for the years we had. You are not forgotten.

Hey buddy, even after all these years you have no idea how much I appreciate and miss you. Wish I could talk to you.

Dearest Russ,

May your soul be at peace and in a place of healing. I'm sending you healing light beams and love always. In my mind and in my heart you are very much here. I will treasure and remember our good times together, especially our sailing adventures. Through our struggles I have learned so much about life and death and what really matters. Thank you! I have deep gratitude for our connection.

And, remember nothing is beyond all repair, sailor....

I'm deeply saddened to learn, just today, that Russ passed away. He had a rare sense of humor, and a grace that was just... cool. Russ was a cool dude. I remember him from Ward Elementary School and on through Newton North: always making folks laugh with his wry smile and quick wit. He signed my yearbook with a (then new) erasable ink pen, saying "It's been really great knowing you, I'll always remember" and then the page was blank until the bottom where he continued, "boat. Best, Russ." ...

So sorry to have just heard this sad, sad news. I too, will always remember that beautiful booming voice. We sang through high school together and I have many wonderful memories. Rest in Peace old friend.

Russ, I will always remember the connection between us. I always felt that you were the person who most closely shared my view of the world. I value the times we spent together, and wish there could have been more. May your spirit fulfill itself and be at peace.

Russell was my college boyfriend and I am stunned, having just stumbled on his obituary online today. I will remember his wonderful voice and sense of humor always. My heart goes out to his family. Robin

Russell was the light of my childhood. From the Ward School through high school, he made me laugh, showed me the ropes, always supported me and never failed to give me immense pleasure through his company. My heart goes out to his family.
