Not sure what to say?

I worked with Russ at Unocal in the eighties. He was a great person who you enjoyed talking to. He was a fun, friendly & loving person. No one was a stranger to him; after conversing with Russ, you knew you had gained a friend. He had great stories and it saddens me that I only learned of his death a week ago through a mutual friend & former co-worker. My deepest sympathy to his family. He will truly be missed although I hadn't seen him in years. God Bless his family.

Russ and I were fellow geophysicists with Unocal in Midland, TX in the late 1980s. Russ was an outstanding geophysicist and he enjoyed a very successful career, but of course what most people really remember about him is what a nice and outgoing person he was. Whether by design or by accident, in the small city of Midland, Russ and I often participated in the same social activities. It seemed like wherever Russ was, he was always making new friends. Even my wife, Saifon, who first met Russ...

Russ was a lifelong friend. We shared in life's ups and downs, sadness and joy...but mostly just good times. Russ's caring, loving disposition, and truly positive outlook on life are a testament to the Heidesch family. We are truly blessed to have had Russ as part of our lives for so long. It should have been longer. Russ will always be missed and always, always, be in on hearts

Russ was a best friend, a fishing buddy, and one of the most generous people we've ever known. He made our lives better and we thank God for his friendship and love.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Russ was a great friend and co-worker. The time that I spent with him has provided me with many great memories. We made some amazing accomplishments together at work, and had some fun times together away from work. May God bless your family with His presence during this difficult time.

I am really glad I did time with Russ at Unocal in Midland. He was a pleasure to work with and had a great sense of humor. We exchanged jokes for years and occasionally met for lunch here in Houston when he moved here. I will miss our conversations in the future. My condolences to his family. Regards, JRC

It had been quite some time since I lost contact with Russ but when I heard of his passing it seemed like yesterday. My high school pal & study buddy was the same terrific guy you have all described in your kind words to his family. God Bless You Russ!

Not a day goes by that I dont think about you. Will hold you close to our hearts forever.
