Not sure what to say?

I have known Russ for the better part of 30 years. I can't remember how or where we met, but it was in a business situation and that was the continuing thread that sustained our relationship. I quickly found that we had attended USC and worked for Union Bank, both at different times. Russ was a hard guy 'not to like'. he was genuinely friendly and always had a joke or two to start a conversation or business discussion. He was also a complete professional, and may have 'invented' along...

My Poppa aka Dubai Dobba,
Who showed me how to live and instilled a fight within me that will never fade. I miss you with every breath. My tears still fall, backed by true gratitude and honor . Purely thankful for the memories we shared. Still, facing the wisdom you offered . Now you can watch and guide us to our place in this word without fighting ever again. Until we meet again , You live on thru the ones who knew you best.

P.S. its not...

I met Russ in the early '80's and knew that Russ was made of strong character and truly a class act. I spoke to him about 3 years ago and he made time to talk to me. Really great guy...strong solid and a pillar in the leasing markets. I extend my sympathy to the family and those who have realized that we lost "one hellava guy".

Met your Husband and Dad in '79 or '80 when I was with TriCon Leasing in Woodland Hills. I think his firm was still Hindin/Owen then. Our initial connection was through Crocker in the mid-70's. He was a prince, and is personally and professionally missed. Blessings to You, his Family. Terry Waggoner, J.D. (Camarillo, CA)

I knew Russ and worked with him back in the 80's and 90's. I didnt keep in touch as much as I should but when I saw that he had passed I wanted to extend my condolences to his family. May God bless and protect his family always. People like Russ made this world a better place to live..... Rick Galtelli

I've known Russ for about 30 years and even after exiting the leasing industry I've made it a point to stay in touch with him - like Starbucks twice a year. I think we had one coming up, and I'll miss him. He was one of the "good-guys."

I attended Bakersfield High School with Russ in the 1960's and stayed in touch with him and his firm, Hindin/Owen/Engelke, off and on until the early 1990's. Russ was a very capable, honest man who was both liked and well respected in his field. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
