I was in Russ's Line Dancing Class for 4 years. He started each class with his hand on his heart, playing the Star Spangled Banner. He was a very special person. In Trivia Games, we relied on him for sports answers and religious facts. He was happy at Bingo handing out the dollar prizes. It was my pleasure to have met Mr. Hoekstra after many years of hearing about him from my husband, Bruce Cantwell, who was a good friend of Fred. I learned to line dance with the group of students from Glenmeadow. He was such a nice man.
