Not sure what to say?

My heart is heavy upon learning of Russ' passing. I miss him and my thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family and friends.
He always made me laugh and will always be one of my favorite people...he will always have a special place in my heart.

Russ and I have known each other for quite a few years. We both were dealers and met originally in Carlisle. My wife and I never saw Russel without a smile on his face. Even when he was first diagnosed he kept a brave look. The last time I saw him he looked well and he said he felt better. When we heard he had passed we were crushed. We will miss him greatly and our hearts go out to his family. God has called home a great guy.

Russ was very close to Charlie and I. We enjoyed the time we spent with him over the years. Russ always appreciated my cooking especially my fruitcake. I would send some home with him to give to Vera and he would always eat the entire thing on the drive home.

Dear Uncle Jim and cousin, Mike,
I am so sorry for the loss of our loved one, Russ. Over the past few days, I have been thinking about all of the good and sad times that we have spent together. They will always remain in my heart as treasured moments that I will never forget. I remember picnics, going on the boat, trips to Rhode Island, family reunions, and holidays. I am going to miss Russ's smile, kind words and our conversations over the years. He was truly a kind and caring person who...

Dear Russ, always and forever a dear wonderful Man, member of our family as well............and the love of my life for all time. Russ was so kind and loyal to me and my Mom and Dad thru their illnesses and passings..........and never out of my mind and heart, even though I ended up in Chicago.........too far away. We traveled together, laughed and cried together and I so wish I had been able to have more time with him these last many years. You are in a wonderful place, my dear friend,...

Russ and I were best friends since 1964. He taught me to drive, took me and the gang to Mc Donalds in his mom's Covair......red with a black interior...we crammed 11 kids in and would drive over and jump out of the car ......then he poped the trunk and the final 3 jumped out......mind you we went home like that.....OMG! I went to all of Russ's doctor appointments, chemo and radiation....He beat the bladder cancer last summer and was so so happy! Our joy was short lived when we found out in...

A truly gentle man and a joy to know. I had known Russ briefly during his early days in Washington and I was delighted to meet up with him again at the first DC Big Flea over 10 years ago.

Russ was the kindest, gentlest, man I have ever known. He loved life and he loved people. I never saw him down and I never saw him negative. I will miss him terribly. He was a good friend with whom I shared many laughs. Friends like Russ are hard to find. I felt privileged to know him.
