Russell Johnson, was born April 23, 1950 to the late George and Ora Johnson in East Chicago, IN.  He departed this life on Saturday, June 26, 2021.  Graduate of Hammond Tech, class of 1968. Russell was a faithful member of Greater Grace Church, Merrillville, IN. On Sep. 1, 1973, Russell and Odette Boynes were united in marriage.  In 2001, He retired from Inland Steel after 31 years. He leaves to cherish his memory; loving wife Odette Johnson of 47 years; two children, Talaya Johnson, Evanston, IL and Russell Johnson, Dayton, IN; loving sister, Mary Norwood, Hammond, IN; one God-daughter, Jennifer LA Hudson (Brian), Portage, IN; 1 special cousin, Jennifer Smith; 2 best friends, Curtis Smith, Chicago, IL and Michael Horton, Gary, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
