My sincere condolences to Julie and the family. Russ was always working hard in the Cleveland Teachers Union negotiations with getting us the best contract possible. And, I always appreciated how hard he fought to get female coaches paid for coaching. He was so dedicated and always a fun guy to talk to. May he Rest In Peace!

Russell was not only my teacher, Athletic Director but he and Julie have been my dear friends since I became a teacher at Lincoln-West. Even before that they were both my teachers! Russell taught me and many many others so very much about teaching/ coaching/ unions/ and life. His humor is unsurpassed. I admire the love Russell and his family share and the amazing example of "family" they set for all. You will be deeply missed by so many. Love, Cat

I´m saddened to hear of Russ´ passing and I remember the many hours of good times that our families had together
