Not sure what to say?

I did not know Mr. Pickett; however, my father, Anthony P. Gigliotti, 29th Division, 116th Infantry Division, Co. "K", stormed the beaches on 6 June 1944. My father passed away on 19 August 1976 and never had the opportunity to go back to Normandy; however, my husband, my mother (his widow), and I had the opportunity to do so. God Bless Russell and all those veterans living and deceased.

Thank you for giving us the Freedom we take for granted. God blessed you with courage and a long life. Your contributions to our country will never be forgotten, may you rest in peace. Your light will burn brightly and never be extinguished.

Thank you Russell. Every free day my family and I enjoy was earned by your services. My eyes have recently been opened by several books about what you heroes really did for this country. I deeply appreciate your sacrifices.
