Not sure what to say?

So sorry for this sad news. I’m truly heartbroken for the whole family. May all the fond memories stay alive R.I.P. Say hi to Ruth and Helen and Barbara for me

Worked with Russ at SPPW for a few years. Always funny and quick with a joke or two. May you rest in peace my friend. I’m sure you and Youngie will have some catching up to do.

Keep all the good ‘Russ memories’ close to your hearts!! Rest easy Russ, you will be missed and never forgotten!!

Russ was a very outgoing kind man that I met at Planet Fitness in Westbrook. It seemed like PF was a workout spot and social club for him. He always brightened my day and I feel like I often brightened his too :-)! When I heard about his passing I was saddened and had one thought. I hope Russ did not suffer and hope he passed peacefully in his sleep, Rest in Peace Russ, You were a Great Person :-)! Respectfully, Josh Stone

I will miss seeing you in our beloved small town/city of South Portland. You always had a smile and a hug to give when I saw you. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and kind words when my Mom passed away. You were the best plow drive South Portland will ever see!!! My thoughts and prayers to the family.

To Sheree, Tobey, Tom, and James Author, so so sorry for yours and all our neighbors loss. Russ was extraordinary to all in SoPo and will be dearly missed. Prayers are with you all.

SoPo will miss you Russ. You were always kind, funny and a true person always smiling . Thanks for the years of conversations and quick chats. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.im so sorry for your loss. R.I.P my friend

Saw Russ many times over the years during his work with the City of South Portland. The world has lost a true gentleman, who loved his community and the people in it, he was always up for a chat no matter who are or what your opinion was, he would listen. There are not many people around like that these days. Russ talked through his photos, you look at his pictures they all tell a story, those stories will be with us for ever. Thank you Russ may god be with you and your family

Peace my friend. I will always remember you with laughter and kindness and our long walks home in high school! Say hi to Steve for me ,until we all meet again some day!
