Russell Donley McGee, II, 70, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. He was born in Clarksburg, WV and retried in 1993 as a environmental specialist working for the U.S. Navy at the shipyard. He service his county in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Nellie McGee, Sr., and his son Russell D. McGee, III and is survived by his wife of 50 years Barbara McGee, daughter Sherri Johnson(Art), daughter-in-law Lisa McGee sisters Joyce Benton(Mel), Kathy Kiehner(Brad), brother Tim McGee(Marie, grandchildren Anthony Johnson(Boo Man), Courtney McGee(Bones), and Crystal McGee, 2 uncles and 2 aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Out of respect for Russell's wishes, there will not be any services. Memorial donations may be made to either Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, American Cancer Society or Wounded Warrior Project. The family would like to give special thanks to Steven McGee(Emma) and Matt McGee for everything that they did for him. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

I'm so very sorry for your loss Mrs. McGee, Sherri, and Anthony. My heart aches for the 3 of you right now. Mr. McGee was a great man to me and so many. He was actually more like a Dad to me, giving me tough love when I deserved it and praise when I earned it. To most he was Big Donnie but to me he was Daddy, no one will ever fill the void that’s left. He was more than just my Dad, he was one of the best friends anyone could have.
