Russell "Rusty" Meeks

It is with great sadness that I read of Rusty's passing. My heart and prayers go out to his family and especially to his brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Lynn Meeks. Even though it has been years since I last saw Rusty and his wife, I will always treasure the memories.

It was with great saddness that I heard of Rusty's premature passing. I had the great privlege of working with Rusty in his capacity of guardian for a child in my program. He was always an advocate first. He was thoughtful and wise and was a genuine 'good guy". He made me laugh and sometimes we shared a tear or two. His pride in his son as he has served in Iraq and the worry in his eyes as he talked about looking forward to him returning home, was touching and humbling. His family was...

I enjoyed working with Rusty for a number of years in child welfare. I will miss him

It was a privilege and an honor to work with Rusty at East branch. I will remember him for his gentle ways and wonderful smile. I am now living miles away from Portland Oregon; it's hard to imagine East branch without him, sitting quietly back in the corner at his desk. I am sure the family has memories to last a lifetime.
