Still carry the memories of that day, blank cards from laughing and joking right before you went on patrol. There´s Often times I think of that day and wonder why you and not me. Thanks for just being you your never forgotten brother.

October 19, when Russell passed, is another Memorial Day when I always remember Russell and our service together with 5/7 CAV near Balad, Iraq, in late summer 2005. May the Nahvi family find peace from the gratitude of our Nation for Russell´s service. Mr. and Mrs. Nahvi, you raised your amazing son, and he became an unforgettable man who continues to inspire others.

Hey Russell, it's weird to say Russell as I am use to saying Nahvi because when we hung out it was always that way in the Army. I knew Nahvi since basic training in the military. We started together in Fort Benning Ga. We clicked right away. I guess because we both have a lot in common. We both loved life and loved helping people as Army Medics.
