Russell Odom DARLINGTON - James Russell Odom, age 53, died Sunday, August 18th. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 20th in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-7 Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Russell's ashes will be buried next to his mother and father in Darlington Memory Gardens at a later time. Born April 3, 1960 in Darlington, he was the son of the late Willie James "Jimmy" Odom and the late Mary LaRue Suggs Odom. Russell enjoyed being around friends, especially when it involved eating and liked to be the center of attention. In his free time, he liked to fish and watch NASCAR. Surviving is his daughter, Chasity (Jeremy) Leech of Atlanta, a sister, Renee Howle of Darlington, nieces, Hanna and Chelsey, a special aunt, Sylvia S. Chandler and his faithful canine companion, Callie. Memorials may be made in Russell's name to Belk Funeral Home, PO Box 523, Darlington, SC 29540. Renee, I wish I could be there for you. The only thing good I can say is he's with his mom and dad again. It seems like yesterday we where playing ball or motorcross riding. Boy, he could ride.
