(Eleven years ago I wrote this for Fuzzy. I am humbly repeating it here so that this side of Fuzzy will not be overlooked or forgotten.)

So a year has passed- so quickly,
but does it still hurt
to think about what happened that day,
and how horribly wrong it was?

Yes. Of course it still hurts.
How could it not?
People who tell me that time
heals all wounds... are liars.

Let it go, they say- forget it, move on.
But I can't forget- and I don't
intend to try; I won't forget you
any more than you would forget me.

The anniversary of Fuzzy's passing will soon be upon us. It seems like yesterday that he was entertaining us at our morning meetings at the mill. We had a moment of silence today, Worker's Memorial Day, for our dear Fuzzy. He is missed as much today as the day he left. He will always be in our hearts.
