Russell was a true gentleman in every sense. I worked with him some thirty years ago at Torrance Memorial. That was back when it was just a small community hospital and you could smoke in the nurses lounge. He always had a kind smile and an easy way about him. I was younger than Russ but I'm feeling old as I've resorted to reading the obits. How sad is that! I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts go out to his family.

My memories of Russel was as a teammate on the RUHS football team. He was a dedicated athlete and always gave 100%.
