ROBINSON, Mr. Russell L. "Cherokee", entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2008 at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Burke and Ada Robinson; one son, Wayne; and one sister, Michelle Y. Robinson. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Laura Smith and Glenda Williams; sons, Dwight, Corey, Michael, Larry and Germaine Robinson; 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Susie Thompson (Elliott); two aunts, Odell Beale and Wilnette Joyner (Henry); a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and two devoted friends, Joyce Bland and Jerry Washington. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Wednesday (today) from 7 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
