Not sure what to say?

I too played in the American Legion band. The picture was colorized by A/I but got the jacket color wrong. (from the record album)

It was my great pleasure to know Russ for 58 years, starting when we were both working for Motorola, although we had lost touch with each other until about eight years ago. He was a wonderful friend and a talented musician. My condolences to Ann and the family. He will be greatly missed

Dear Family of Russ,

I became acquainted with Russ through his son Steve. We had some fun times on the tennis courts and enjoyed some happy conversations about things of life. He was a lively man and always busy playing tennis or music or having fun. I will miss chatting with him but will remember his competitive tennis attitude. My sincere sympathy for the family - we have lost a fun guy. Hit em good up there Russ.

You have had a very sad year and a half. Our hearts go out to you Ann. You were a phenomenal care giver for Russ, and he loved you very much. He told me he could never make it without you. We are here for you if you need anything.

Carol and Jim,
I am so sorry to hear you dad lost his battle. He was such an accomplished man and gave so much back to others.
Thinking of you, your dad, your mother, and family at this time of sadness.

I was saddened to read of Russ's passing. We played together in the American Legion band for many years. He was quite a player!

I'll miss his strong sound coming from back there.
