Not sure what to say?

Ginny and family,
I am so very sorry for your loss...wishing you peace at this difficult time.

Dear Linda, We are so sorry to learn of Rusty's passing! We have fond memories of being neighbors in Wakendaw Lakes and also of the many times Rusty and I carpooled to The Citadel. You, Ginny and Molly are in our thoughts and prayers. Our love, Sandy & Dorcas Jones

Gail so sorry to read about your brother.

Gail, I am so sorry to read about Rusty. My best to you and his family.

Capt Stout (That's what he was when I had him for a professor) was truly a great professor as he was always generous with his time and talent. He connected with our class and was one of our favorites. I know I will miss him but most of my civil engineering school memories always include him. God bless "Rusty" and his family and may they find peace and enjoy the love of all who knew him.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Colonel Stout brought out the best in many of us and nurtured those of us that needed it. I am proud to say that I eventually earned one of those dinosaurs on a test and he would tell you that he didn't "give" them out, one had to "earn" them. He will be missed by so many of us. Prayers for you all during this trying time.

On behalf of The Citadel Civil Engineering Class of 1983, we offer our deepest sympathy on the passing of Rusty Stout. He was our mentor and advisor, made a true difference in the lives of every cadet he taught, and remained a friend throughout our engineering careers. We'll miss you Rusty...thanks for all you did for each and every one of us.

Col. Stout was a wonderful man and a great teacher. I always enjoyed his classes when I was at the Citadel. I am grateful for his willingness to give of his time and talents to educate me as a young man; not only in the field of engineering, but also as a man. He touched so many lives while at the Citadel in unmeasureable ways. He will truly be missed. God bless you and your family during this difficult time.
