Not sure what to say?

Having Russell as a friend was an honor! Working side by side with him on the Back Country Horsemen of East TN´s Walnut and White Rocks Mountain Trails Systems Project was an awesome experience! In honor of Russell, I will continue to work with the USFS to drive this project to completion. Larry Jeffers

Linda, Carmen and I send our most heartfelt condolences and prayers to you and your family. We will always remember our great times in Bangkok and Camp Lejeune. Russ was a fine man and exemplary Marine. He is with so many of his fellow warriors now. Perfect company.

My condolences to Russel's wife,Linda and family. He has left an amazing story of his life and accomplishments. A great legacy for his family. He and I were classmates at JB Pennington High School, in Blountsville, AL. graduating in 1958. He was a very respectable young man. God bless all.

He was extremely impressive in uniform but also caring and patient with goofy midshipmen, and possessing an unusual sense of humor to those of us already disposed to want to be Marine Officers - in his mold. He was unforgettable, and irreplaceable to a Nation that longs...
