Not sure what to say?

Sue and I will be in New Orleans on your birthday. We have so many memories from our times together there with you and Randy. I will make it a point to have a Mimosa as you did while everyone else had beer. We can still create memories with you. Love to you, Dear Friend

Growing up with the Tippens as next door neighbors was enjoyable. Russell was a true friend and a lot of fun. I am glad that he was a large part of my childhood. Bless the Tippens during this time. You all are in The Scott family's thoughts.

I was so very sorry to hear of Russell´s recent passing. I first got to know Russell when he was about 5 years old old. He was one of the sweetest and cutest little boys and the same as a grown man. I had the pleasure of many shared meals with Russell and his loving family when we were much younger. Russell was a gifted young man and friend. I am thankful and blessed by knowing him. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of of knowing him him. Russell made the world a much more kind and...

It is still hard for me to believe that Russell is no longer with us. It is going to take a while. I planned Randy and Russell's trip for many years. Russell and Randy were my travelers, but much more they were my friends. During the years Russell became more involved in the travel planning with me. He was always so appreciative, kind and loyal. He would share some tips with me, including his very favorite bar and restaurant in Paris . I will be in Paris in early December and I will be...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To Randy and the Tippins Family: We are heartbroken. We have so many fond memories of Russell. From the time that Randy introduced us to Russell, we knew that we had met another kindred spirit. We have so many lasting memories of traveling with Russell and Randy. From the sailing trips to time spent together in Italy to Jazz Fest in New Orleans, we always had such extraordinarily good times together. Thank you to the Tippins family for welcoming and including us on your beach vacations ....

What an amazing man. I met Russell my first week in Athens. He was also my neighbor at Cambridge apts. We shared many friends and great memories, including our graduation trip to Europe 40 years ago. I know he will be missed by many. Love and hugs to Randy and Russell´s family. May his memory be a blessing.

Russell, I can't believe you are gone. When my brother Bill called me with the news I was in total shock -- and still am. My first memory of Russell is the story he actually told the Friday night before my wedding in 2008. I lived in England then, but flew back Georgia (1969) and Russell came with Bill to meet me at the Atlanta airport -- which he described as the most exotic place on earth. I actually go that because I had thought the same thing as a child. Then later, when I was driving...

Russell, my family and yours were the best of friends. All of those summers at Mexico Beach together! You will be forever missed!
