My family got to know the Tranchell family back in the mid to late 70's as...wife Jeanne become sitter/caregiver to our 2 sons Matt/Ryan McKimmy during their school day and periodically Mr. would stop by.
Jeanne introduce me to her "chees-ey scrambled egg reciepe....a generous amount of cheese and however many eggs I thought I might want.
Over time they became.....Dad's famous eggs(I re-named them) annnnnnnnnd to this day Matt/Ryan make Jeanne's chees-ey eggs!

This not good news for the Flushing area. Every community needs more citizens like Russ. I talked frequently with Russ over the years. His enthusiasm for public service was outstanding. My sympathy goes out to his family
