Not sure what to say?

August 17, 1968

I first met Rusty at Chelsea Naval Hospital in 1964. We became fast friends together with Jeff McCormack exploring the world of books and the ideas they contained from Erich Fromm to Jack Kerouac and Ken Kesey, discussed the musical poetry of Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs and Alan Ginsberg. Rusty was a light in my life at a time when I needed it. The light from this candle is for Rusty.

Rusty was a cherished friend from Hospital Corps School while we were in the U S Navy Reserve. We served together at the U S Naval Hospital in Chelsea, MA. Sandie, Decker, Calina, Jason and Peter, I am so very sorry to hear of Rusty's passing. I have fond memories of seeing him...driving down Main with all his babies in the truck with him! He was so very proud and happy with his family. He once saved my life many moons ago. I will always hold a special place in my heart for him! My heart and prayers are with all of you, Sally Silva

Our condolences to Rusty's family. We were part of the caravan from Amherst to Durango where Rusty stayed with new found friends. Rusty was also our best man at our wedding on Aug 17, 1968. Bob knew him from Navy days. We stayed in the Amherst area and his family are always welcome.
Sending our love~
