In my search for my friend and colleague, Ginny Lewis, I found this notice and my heart is hurting. I never met Rusty, but I knew all about the proposal and the love Ginny had for him and they for each other. You're in my heart Ginny and family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Rusty's passing. He gave me my first job in radio back in 1978 when I was trying to make a career change. My condolences go out to his entire family and especially to his mother, Ann who was always so kind to me.

Rusty and I worked together for a couple of years 1979-1981...didn't always see eye to eye on everything, but still got along...he was a nice guy
in many respects. Sorry to hear of his passing...so young.

Truly unbelievable to read of Rusty's passing. The Shaffers hired me for my first job at KBOL-Boulder. Rusty, always, always was such a dynamic person. Blessings to his family, children and newly arrived grandaughter.

I was truly saddened by this news-Rusty was also my boss at KBOL with Ann and Russ still playing a major role. He always had a joke or a funny story. Great guy gone too soon.

Rusty was great to work with at the Bank of Boulder and then with ACS Merchant Services. He had the spirit of play and when he and Terry Hannham got on a roll - you could not laugh hard enough!! See you in a new body my friend.....when you decide to come back and do it again!

I was fortunate to have worked at KBOL in Boulder from 1980--1986. Ann and Russ Shaffer were wonderful people and Rusty was a great boss, a truly good man. All who knew him and loved him have lost much with his passing.
