Rusty Weaver 1970 - 2021 Gastonia - Roger "Rusty" Allen Weaver, Jr., 50, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Rusty was born in Gaston County on December 17, 1970 and is the son of Roger Allen Weaver Sr., and Linda Farr Weaver. Rusty is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Duncan Weaver; two daughters, Madison Dianne Weaver, Carley Elizabeth Weaver; his parents, Roger Allen Weaver Sr., and Linda Farr Weaver; Tracy's parents, Jimmy and Dianne Duncan; brother-in-law, Robert Duncan and wife Kim; two nieces, Aleaha Duncan, Taylor Duncan; nephew, Tyler Fulton. He was described by his wife, two daughters, and friends as a family man. His entire life was devoted to Tracy and their girls. He will be missed by so many while leaving behind precious memories with each of them. Rusty was a graduate of South Point High School class of 1989 where he was a member of the golf team. He attended Gaston College, where he received his Heating and Air Certification. He attended CPCC where he received his Automotive and Business Administration Certification. He was a 28 year employee of Freightliner Mt. Holly where he made many life-long friends. He is a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Belmont. He was a loving son, husband, father, and he truly loved his family. He met the love of his life and future wife in 1987 where the two became high school sweethearts. Rusty and Tracy married October 16, 1994 at Friendship Baptist Church. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Madison Dianne and Carley Elizabeth. Rusty often talked of his girls and how proud he was of them. Rusty was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was a member of a hunting club in Ararat Mountain, N.C. He enjoyed making memories kayaking and hunting with his friends Billy Buchanan, Austin Buchanan, Randy Davis, Reggie Layel and countless others. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his two daughters Madison and Carley while working on home improvement projects. He often said his girls were the best thing him and Tracy ever did. He also loved spending time on the beach with his wife listening to Jamie Johnson and searching for sand dollars. In addition to his wife and daughters, Rusty had a special love for his pets, including his three dachshunds, Hershey, Oscar, and Marley. He also had a special bond with his two goldendoodle grand-dogs, Piper and Oakley. The Family will receive family and friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church, 5008 South New Hope Road, Belmont, with a celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Rusty was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Sue Weaver; Maternal Grandparents, Bill and Beulah Snyder Farr; Paternal Grandparents, James Ralph and Reba Weaver.
