Got to know Rusty when I was Rooms mgr at the Stockyards Hotel. Billy bob would set him up a room at a dump on NE 28th and 35 w but I´d give him room here and bill Billy Bob Barnett Rusty was a wonderful down to earth person and I´ll never forget some party nights in the stockyards. On those rare evenings when Rusty didn't have a gig, he'd often come to Willie's Austins concert venue, the Austin Opera House to hang out.
