Ruth L. Beaumont

Ruth, I hope you knew while you were living what a positive impact you had on my life. You were an inspiration to me to join the military, an inspiration as a feminist before I knew what feminism was. Though we are second cousins, I've always considered you an aunt. I wish I had known of your passing to give you a proper military salute. The world is a better place because of your presence, those you have touched. The world continues to sing your cadence, recite your lines, sing your praise!

So very sorry I never got a chance to meet you while your personal angel watched over you the past few years. R.I.P

RLB - I have really enjoyed knowing you for the past 40 years (!). Working together onstage, sharing that wonderful house on Orange Street (with my costume shop and darkroom in the basement), walking picket lines together, and just enjoying life.
