Not sure what to say?

Dear Diana, Dwight and Cindy,

I was so sorry to hear about Ruth's death. When her Christmas card arrived each year, it always took me back to our days as neighbors on Pennsylvania Avenue. She used to send a copy of Dwight's newsletter to my mother, and they would be in touch once in a while, so I kept up a bit with your lives through the years. I know the final good-bye is hard, even when you have been lucky enough to have many years together, so my thoughts and sympathy are with...

We heard about Ruth here in Åland. So from all of us comes our sympathy. I remember when we was in USA, Ruth came and met us at the airport and we had a nice time in here house in Long Island. See will be missed even in Åland. All of my and my family’s love for all of you.

Thanksgiving Dinner 2010

Dear Diana, Dwight, and Cindy,
We are so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was wonderful and I felt a special bond with her although I knew her for a short time. But she held me in the taxi with my Mom and Grandmother on the way to my foster Mom. She often would ask me if I thought she should have kept me in her family. I always assured her no as I completely understood and benefited from being adopted. At Thanksgiving as I was preparing dinner I overheard my kids say to her...

Dear Diana, Dwight, and Cindy:

You had the good fortune of calling Ruth your loving mother and for that you are blessed with such outstandly fond memories! You will always have those to "bask" in. I had the honor, through marriage, to call her Aunt Ruth. I remember how warmly she invited me into the family and the Swedish traditions. May God bless and guide you through your grief and keep her constanly illuminated in our hearts.
