Ruth Bowers Obituary
LANCASTER: Ruth Ann Bowers, 83, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Homestead Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on August 18, 1931 in West Jefferson, OH a daughter of the late, Howard and Effie (Tanner) Bradley. Ruth owned and operated the Dumontville Flea Market for many years.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Bowers (Kim Berry) of Lancaster; daughter, June (Raymond) Paxton of Montgomery, IL; three grandchildren, Jeff Paxton, Maria and James Bowers; five great grandchildren, Jessica Sue Gibble (Sid Chanthavong), Caitlyn, Jacob and Becca Paxton and Jordan Bowers; two great great grandchildren, Caleb and Caden Chanthavong and a close friend, Anita Bowers.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Edward Bowers in 2003; a son, Howard Scott Bowers; and a brother, Russell Bradley.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family is being served by the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.
