I sit here between tears and giggles as I read of Ruth's passing. Tears because of the loss of a wonderful and special woman and friend. And giggles as I remember all the fun times with Ruth and Mike. We became one another's "black tie friends" attending events, galas, and fundraisers together. Always smiling. Always smiling. You have my deep sympathy . I knew Ruth from the mid 1960s when we were both adoption workers at Boys and Girls Aid Society. She was a dedicated professional and made me feel welcomed when I joined the staff just out of Graduate School. Blessings to all of you who loved her.

In loving memory of a genuine, one-of-kind, dear and fun-loving woman with an indomitable spirit. Knowing Ruth has meant a lot to me, along with meeting her family back in the 1980s and 90s. I remember she attended my late husband's memorial in 2007 where we sat together tearfully watching the slide show picturing his life.
