Not sure what to say?

I was stunned to learn last night that Ruth died a year ago. It was especially sad as the same call told me of Cousin Steve's passing. Steve and Ruth took such wonderful care of Steve's brother Pat and his wife Helen. This involved many, many trips to Rehobeth year after year, during all they were loving, caring, and helpful.

Steve's brother Pat with his wife Helen, my parents, and several other cousins in the D.C. area were life-long close friends. They enjoyed one another's...

I remember Ruth well from our days at Bethany College. Always with a smile, quick wit and if memory serves me correctly, a darn good bridge player.
I extend my deepest sympathy.

Reuniting with Ruth after 50 years was a joy. She hadn't changed a bit since the first day I met her at Bethany in 1960. The world has lost a very special lady.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden death of Ruth. The world is a smaller place without the vibrant Ruthie in it. She will be missed as the memories of past shared happy times linger always. Our sincere sympathy is extended to Ruth's beloved Steve and family. We share your grief and loss.

Ruth was a lovely, lovely lady and I have warm memories of sharing a cup of coffee with her in the kitchen during visits to Bell Atlantic's Courthouse Road network headquarters in Arlington and working with her as she worked to develop corporate philanthropy programs that fit Bell Atlantic's strategic visions. And, I remember the smiles and laughs as she talked about her adventures with her family on trips.

Ruth was a very vibrant and well-liked member of our class, WOHS 1960. She & Ann put together a dynamite booklet for the last reunion, all volunteer work, of course. Ruth was always happy, pleasant and fun to have around. She will be missed by the class of 1960. My deepest sympathies to all her family and close friends. I'm sure she will be in your hearts forever.

Ruth defined a person with a good heart. As a friend, she was always there. As a professional at Bell Atlantic and C&P, she was first rate. A great story teller.

Ruth has been SUCH a tremendous part of my life for 55 years since our days at WOHS that it doesn't seem possible she is gone. The summer at the Jersey Shore will not be complete without her visit. She will always be a part of me and my memories of our summer of '64 in Europe.
My heartfelt condolences to Steve and Ruth's family.
Deepest sympathy,
Phyllis Ferrante
