Not sure what to say?

Was thinking about growing up in the church with Ms. Carson the other day, she was one of the kindest and most generous spirits I've ever met and I'm a better person for having been raised in her presence.

Just heard of Ruth's passing and feel very sad. Ruth, thanks for being a good mentor to me during my early years of teaching. I learned so much from you about the joys of being 'Teacher'. And that 'Thank You' is written in my Dissertation -- An Eternal 'Thank You' to you. With lots of Prayers ... Love and Blessings, Jan

My family and I are very sad about losing Ruthie. I remember as a child going over to her house and we would paint on her porch. When I had children they would go over to her house and play with Winston. She was a very kind person with a great laugh and she will be greatly missed. Chris, Elaine, Helen and Paul Sternberg

I am deeply sorry for your families loss. Please be assured that God will provide the loving comfort and strength that your family needs during this difficult time. (Matthew 5:4) I will be keeping your family in my prayers.

Ruth will be greatly missed by many .. We recently became friends through the Monday evening Bible Study that met in her lovely home each week. What a joy to share God's love with fellow believers. Ruth will be watching over us with her warm and caring spirit.. Will miss you, my friend. Rest in peace and keep us all in your care.

My heart is so heavy with the news of Ruth's passing. She truly was a force of light, and an inspiration to many. I feel so blessed that she was my mentor as I began my teaching career, but more importantly, she was my inspiration, my role model, and my friend. Her tireless quest to make the world a better, safer place for children is her legacy. Her kindness, passion for learning and teaching, her fabulous sense of humor, and wonderful laugh will be what I will always remember. Thank...

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

Ruth was a teacher; she taught us all.

As a schoolgirl, young Ruthie was a steadfast example of a person living a Christian life. She advocated for children less fortunate, quickly and openly consoled classmates who were in pain or in fear, and encouraged those around her to seek the higher path in their own lives. Remarkably, she often managed to accomplish these things through the use of her hilariously clever sense of humor.

As an adult, Ruth continued to live this Christian...

A shining light has left our world, but will glow for eternity in the heavens and in our hearts. Children everywhere have lost an earthly champion, who now will continue to watch over them from her new vantage point.

I will miss your infectious laugh, your "can do" spirit, and great compassion Ruth. I am so happy we just recently had one last lunch together with Marcia from Carlow and of course Winston, in your lovely home - so full of lovely keepsakes and precious...
